(Satureja hortensis) Summer Savory is a herb with a thyme like flavour. It grows to about 40cm in height and can be used for savoury dishes especially those containing beans. Sow in propagators in early spring. When seedlings are large enough to handle plant out in a sunny well drained position.
(Satureja montana) Winter Savory is a low growing herb with white/lilac flowers that are attractive to bees.
