(Sanguisorba minor) Salad Burnet is a herb growing to between 15 - 40 cm in height. It is a hardy perennial with small rounded heads of reddish green flowers which bloom in mid summer. The leaves have a cucumber flavour and are good in salads. Harvest leaves and cut back flowers regularly to ensure a new supply of small tender leaves. Sow seeds during late spring or early autumn in a good soil.
