(Arnica chamissonis) Hardy perennial. Daisy-like yellow flowers, light green oval leaves, slightly hairy. Grows to a height of up to 2 feet. Flowers are used to make first aid remedy. Sow in autumn in a cold frame. Can be very slow to germinate. Plant out in sun or partial shade in a humus rich sandy soil. Harvest the flowers in summer just before they are fully open.
